📘 Imperatives

Imperatives are sentences that give commands, instructions, requests, or advice.


1️⃣ Structure

  • Use the base form of the verb without a subject.

Example:

  • Sit down.
  • Please close the door.
  • Don’t be late.

2️⃣ Negative Imperatives

  • Use do not or don’t before the verb.

Example:

  • Don’t touch that!
  • Do not run in the hall.

3️⃣ Polite Requests

  • Add please for politeness.

Example:

  • Please help me.
  • Please be quiet.

4️⃣ Examples

  • Open the window.
  • Stop talking.
  • Turn left at the corner.
  • Don’t forget your keys.
  • Please wait here.
