Imperatives are sentences that give commands, instructions, requests, or advice.
1️⃣ Structure
- Use the base form of the verb without a subject.
Example:
- Sit down.
- Please close the door.
- Don’t be late.
2️⃣ Negative Imperatives
- Use do not or don’t before the verb.
Example:
- Don’t touch that!
- Do not run in the hall.
3️⃣ Polite Requests
- Add please for politeness.
Example:
- Please help me.
- Please be quiet.
4️⃣ Examples
- Open the window.
- Stop talking.
- Turn left at the corner.
- Don’t forget your keys.
- Please wait here.
