📘 Nouns
A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing, or idea.
1️⃣ Types of Nouns
Type | Description | Examples |

Common Nouns | General names of things or people | dog, city, car |
Proper Nouns | Specific names (capitalized) | London, Sarah, Amazon |
Concrete Nouns | Things you can see or touch | apple, table, music (sound) |

Countable Nouns | Can be counted | book (books), cat (cats) |

2️⃣ Singular and Plural
- Singular: names one item
- Plural: names more than one (usually add -s or -es)
Examples:
- one cat → two cats
- one box → three boxes
3️⃣ Possessive Nouns
Show ownership using 's or just ' (for plural nouns ending in s).
Examples:
- Sarah’s book
- The dogs’ park (for multiple dogs)
4️⃣ Compound Nouns
Two or more words combined to make one noun.
Examples:
- toothbrush
- mother-in-law
- swimming pool
