📘 Personal Pronouns (I / me / my / mine)

Personal pronouns are used to replace specific people or things.
They show who is involved and the role of the pronoun in the sentence.


1️⃣ Subject Pronouns

(Used as the subject of a sentence)

1st singular I
2nd singular/plural You
3rd singular (male) He
3rd singular (female) She
3rd singular (neutral) It
1st plural We
3rd plural They

Examples:

  • I like coffee.
  • She is my friend.
  • They are coming.

2️⃣ Object Pronouns

(Used as the object of a verb or preposition)

2nd singular/plural You
3rd singular (male) Him
3rd singular (female) Her
3rd singular (neutral) It
1st plural Us
3rd plural Them

Examples:

  • She called me.
  • I saw him yesterday.
  • The teacher helped us.

(Used before a noun to show ownership)

Examples:

  • This is my book.
  • That is her car.

4️⃣ Possessive Pronouns

(Replace the noun, showing ownership)

*Note: “Its” possessive pronoun is rarely used.

  • These are ours.
